Golf of the Miniature kind

London invited me to go with his small group to Celebration Station for some mini golf. How could I pass that up? I couldn't! It was lots of fun, I haven't been to Celebration Station in years.

Here's London playing a flood hole.
(yes that is papyrus. lol)

Thanksgiving

My mom's side of the family normally has Thanksgiving a week early, and this year it was hosted in Abilene. We began our journey mid afternoon on friday and arrived in Abilene around 8. Daniel Beilman came by our Grandparent's house around 9 and we went to Monks coffee shop in downtown Abilene to see a friend's band, Ballroom Ballroom It made for a very enjoyable evening.

The following morning we loaded up in the van and headed out to the location where Thanksgiving was to be held. (I believe it was at the Abilene State School) After spending a little while milling around and making small talk the "teens" headed to the park. The following to take place A three level pyramid made out of tables.

That's pretty much how it went down.

Procrastination

Procrastination, I have a love hate relationship with you, for the most part love.
I procrastinate on almost everything. in fact I've been procrastinating on blogging. You see I did a little computer repair, and I thought it would make an awesome post. (my inner nerd) and so I took picture of the computer in stages and what not, but as I was putting it back together I got sloppy and tore the ribbon that connects the keyboard to the logic board. (I still haven't fixed it) So I thought I'd put off that update until I had a happier ending.

Later on this past week I started on a painting project in my room (to cover up a bad job I had done a few months ago) and I got one coat done. haha
Another failed project that I thought might make a good blog post. So there it is procrastination.

3s

A wise man (Tim Meister) once told me that bad things happen in threes, and i now believe him. So yesturday i was at starbucks hanging out with Juddson and i opened my computer and heard a terrible sound, the sound of my hard drive dying. So i ran over to Lake Pointe because Matt Sears was there, and let him have a look at it, he confirmed my fear that it was dead. Good news is i'm replacing it with a bigger one.

Later that night Bri rolled down the passenger window in my car and when we got to Lake Shore i tried to roll it back up, nothing! I took the door apart today and was able to manually roll it up.

[side note: i am now convinced that there is a whole department that's soul purpose is to try and make a car as hard to take apart as possible.]

Also more good/ bad news, when i backed my car into the driveway to work on the window i noticed that my tire looked a little odd, on closer examination i realized that i would have most likely had a blowout in the not to distantfuture, so that's sort of a praise that i saw it.

One Voice

Day 1:
So I went down about 4 hours ahead of the others and set up the lights for the weekend, Since I was the lighting guy. So on our way down our group stopped at a rural gas station for a bathroom break and to discuss which route we thought was best. After using the lady's room Lance decided he'd go in after me since the line for the men's was still pretty long. While Lance was in the Lady's room a younge girl walked up and waited out side. A few of us began to giggle, a few seconds later Lance emerged with a slightly embarrised face. And this picture was taken.
Then we got back on the road and got to the camp about an hour later. We then setup the lights and the sound gear. After the Lauren took our Subway order and after about 30 minutes the sandwiches had arrived. On opening them we found out that instead of meatballs, which they had ran out of, they put random meat. We labeled Subway as an "epic fail" and continued our work. At about 9:30 we got a call saying that one of the buses had broken down and they were running behind schedule. We ended up starting worship around 10:30.

Day 2:

I was picked by Adam McCain to make a sermon point, and had to try and get across the auditorium while 10 of the biggest guys in the youth group opposed me. after suffering a possible concussion and a large carpet burn on my elbow I successfully made it. That pretty much all I remember from that day. (hopefully I'll get the video from Stephen) I had a massive headache all day. I still have a slight one right now (Monday)

Day 3:

Had one last morning session and then ate lunch, the group headed out and we packed up all of our gear. Had an enjoyable trip back with Tim, Aaron and Andrew. Beat the buses back by 45 minutes, unpacked the uhaul, and said our goodbyes. All in all it was an awesome weekend.

What the Crap!?

Can you really drive a golf cart on the road?

This lady was in front of me on Ridge Road today and she was slowing down the traffic like crazy. I didn't think it was legal. Is it?
