Christmas (really clever title)

So this Christmas was spent with my dad's side of the family at our house and it was much more enjoyable then I expected, which was really nice. The men went out to the Water View golf course and hit some balls around. It was my first time to play golf, and while I was playing in my house shoes I still managed to play fairly well. In fact I enjoyed it so much that my dad and I went back the next day. I never thought I'd like golf, but I think I might've found a new hobby.

We also got a Wii this year for Christmas and its been a big hit with the whole family, especially my parents.

What did your Christmas consist of?

New Post.

Not much to update on, but I thought I'd post to try and keep my site active.
I'm thinking about changing up my blog, but I still have to find the time to do it.
Speaking of time (awesome segway I know) there doesn't seem to be enough of it. Lots of work and little sleep.

(this poorly written post was also done from my iPod)

Abnormal Monday

Well all my plans for today were cancelled because of the weather, so that left me with lots of free time, which is odd for me because I don't know what to do with it. So I ended up spending most of my day reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and drinking lots of coffee. 7 cups in fact and I finished the book. Well one of them in the set of six. Also on a positive note Poetry won their basketball game tonight, which I was present for. Go Pioneers!

P.S. I typed this whole entry on my iPod

P.S. (#2) I've decided against the jail idea

[should the above be a P.P.S. or a P.S.S.?]

Well I'm back by popular demand, will more like a request for a new post.

So as you might've guessed from my picture at the beginning of this post I got pulled over this past week, and as you also might've guessed it was for speeding. For those of you that don't know me well or my driving habits, I'm always speeding, So it's not really much of a shock. I'm just angry because I can't take defensive driving because I was going 25mph over the speed limit. I'm debating paying the $300+ ticket or spending the night in jail. Anyone know if it'll go on my record? Any thoughts?

Golf of the Miniature kind

London invited me to go with his small group to Celebration Station for some mini golf. How could I pass that up? I couldn't! It was lots of fun, I haven't been to Celebration Station in years.

Here's London playing a flood hole.
(yes that is papyrus. lol)

Thanksgiving

My mom's side of the family normally has Thanksgiving a week early, and this year it was hosted in Abilene. We began our journey mid afternoon on friday and arrived in Abilene around 8. Daniel Beilman came by our Grandparent's house around 9 and we went to Monks coffee shop in downtown Abilene to see a friend's band, Ballroom Ballroom It made for a very enjoyable evening.

The following morning we loaded up in the van and headed out to the location where Thanksgiving was to be held. (I believe it was at the Abilene State School) After spending a little while milling around and making small talk the "teens" headed to the park. The following to take place A three level pyramid made out of tables.

That's pretty much how it went down.

Procrastination

Procrastination, I have a love hate relationship with you, for the most part love.
I procrastinate on almost everything. in fact I've been procrastinating on blogging. You see I did a little computer repair, and I thought it would make an awesome post. (my inner nerd) and so I took picture of the computer in stages and what not, but as I was putting it back together I got sloppy and tore the ribbon that connects the keyboard to the logic board. (I still haven't fixed it) So I thought I'd put off that update until I had a happier ending.

Later on this past week I started on a painting project in my room (to cover up a bad job I had done a few months ago) and I got one coat done. haha
Another failed project that I thought might make a good blog post. So there it is procrastination.

3s

A wise man (Tim Meister) once told me that bad things happen in threes, and i now believe him. So yesturday i was at starbucks hanging out with Juddson and i opened my computer and heard a terrible sound, the sound of my hard drive dying. So i ran over to Lake Pointe because Matt Sears was there, and let him have a look at it, he confirmed my fear that it was dead. Good news is i'm replacing it with a bigger one.

Later that night Bri rolled down the passenger window in my car and when we got to Lake Shore i tried to roll it back up, nothing! I took the door apart today and was able to manually roll it up.

[side note: i am now convinced that there is a whole department that's soul purpose is to try and make a car as hard to take apart as possible.]

Also more good/ bad news, when i backed my car into the driveway to work on the window i noticed that my tire looked a little odd, on closer examination i realized that i would have most likely had a blowout in the not to distantfuture, so that's sort of a praise that i saw it.

One Voice

Day 1:
So I went down about 4 hours ahead of the others and set up the lights for the weekend, Since I was the lighting guy. So on our way down our group stopped at a rural gas station for a bathroom break and to discuss which route we thought was best. After using the lady's room Lance decided he'd go in after me since the line for the men's was still pretty long. While Lance was in the Lady's room a younge girl walked up and waited out side. A few of us began to giggle, a few seconds later Lance emerged with a slightly embarrised face. And this picture was taken.
Then we got back on the road and got to the camp about an hour later. We then setup the lights and the sound gear. After the Lauren took our Subway order and after about 30 minutes the sandwiches had arrived. On opening them we found out that instead of meatballs, which they had ran out of, they put random meat. We labeled Subway as an "epic fail" and continued our work. At about 9:30 we got a call saying that one of the buses had broken down and they were running behind schedule. We ended up starting worship around 10:30.

Day 2:

I was picked by Adam McCain to make a sermon point, and had to try and get across the auditorium while 10 of the biggest guys in the youth group opposed me. after suffering a possible concussion and a large carpet burn on my elbow I successfully made it. That pretty much all I remember from that day. (hopefully I'll get the video from Stephen) I had a massive headache all day. I still have a slight one right now (Monday)

Day 3:

Had one last morning session and then ate lunch, the group headed out and we packed up all of our gear. Had an enjoyable trip back with Tim, Aaron and Andrew. Beat the buses back by 45 minutes, unpacked the uhaul, and said our goodbyes. All in all it was an awesome weekend.

What the Crap!?

Can you really drive a golf cart on the road?

This lady was in front of me on Ridge Road today and she was slowing down the traffic like crazy. I didn't think it was legal. Is it?

Thursday (two jobs)

Alright to has also been a really busy day. It started at 8:30 (not that bad, but i normally don't goto bed until around 2am) then got a text from Brian (B&L Boss) saying he didn't need me until 10:30 not 9:30 like he had told me, problem was I was already at his shop because I'd left early since I'd never been there. So I ended up sitting in my car listening to music and trying to nap. (suggested by Andrew) Then I work my butt off load Brian's trailer (the kind that an 18 wheeler pulls) from floor to ceiling.

[the madness]

Then once I got done helping Brian I headed to Lake Pointe and finished up the stage for the weekend. I think it looks pretty stinkin' cool. [coroplast on the stage]

Wednesday (craziness)

Ok so pretty much this whole day has been crazy! It started off by me getting off of work a little late (15 mins.) which meant I was a little late to Lake Shore, which wasn't to big of a deal, I just really felt rushed (and I don't like being late) So I show up and find out that Stephen's MacBook Pro had been sent in to Apple because it had some weird black stuff in the CD drive. So that meant that Andrew and I were on graphics, Andrew was busy editing a video that we shot on Sunday so I took over the graphics part. Well early that week someone had changed the password for the wireless internet, which presented a problem. No pictures for the background. So I talked to Nick and at 6:30ish I got the new password. I ended up making all the message graphics during the music and we got them into Media Shout about 5 minutes before the message. (Basically I've felt rushed all day) So then Paradigm ends, pingpong and chatting. Then Nick asked me to take Kate (a girl I don't really know) home because she didn't have a ride. I said "ok" and we left. We're on Dalrock and I ask her if I needed to turn at first turn in (that I was almost to) or the second, she didn't answer so I thought just to be safe I'll pull into the first. She then pipes up and says it's the next one. So I PUT MY BLINKER ON and move back onto the main part of the road and then pull into the next turn lane, then I see red and blue lights in my mirror. I think to myself "CRAP!, wait I wasn't speed, what the heck is he pulling me over for?" So turns out that I should have put on my blinker 100ft before I got back onto the main part of the road. I wanna know how I could do this? The turn lane isn't even 100ft long! But I got off with a warning so I'm happy.

Well that was my day! (hope that wasn't written to poorly for your taste)

Wow it sure has been a while since I've update a blog of any kind. Don't know if I even have followers anymore.

Anyway life is really good right now.
I'm now a student leader at Paradigm = excitement
I might be going on the SAGE girl's tour as the lighting guy
and I'm trying to find this truck for a reasonable price.

Ok I'm trying to stay true to my word, so I'm updating my blog.
Although I don't have to much to say. I will say that I had an awesome time at the Smith's lake house. I'm also trying to get my China thank you notes out.

Blah... boring entry.

Update

Well needless to say I haven't updated lately, mostly due to the fact that I temporarily forgot my password. Okay now for the updating, my trip to China is in less then 2 weeks. Ahhh! I'm totally stoked about it. I also setup a blog for the trip (brettmorris.blogspot.com) due to the fact that I forgot my password to this one. Other then getting ready for my trip and finishing up school life has been pretty laid back. But don't worry I'll still check this blog while I'm in China, but I most likely won't update it to often.

Hopefully I won't forget my password anytime soon.
